JACKSON – A Jackson homeowner is behind bars after police say he allegedly shot someone in the woods.
According to Detective Tommie Brown, the incident happened on Tuesday morning on Mary Edith Street.
32-year-old Quandric Walton told police he heard someone in the woods near his home and asked the person to “come out”. When the person didn’t come out, Walton fired shots into the woods.
The victim was shot and taken to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Walton was arrested, and charged with Aggravated Assault.
