Desiree Eaves, Missing from Wilkinson CountyWILKINSON COUNTY — More than seven years after she was last seen, Desiree Eaves remains missing, and investigators say foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
Eaves, 41, was last seen Nov. 6, 2018, at a residence along Highway 15 in the community of Stallo in Winston County. She has not been seen or heard from since that day, and her body has never been located.
Authorities say it is unclear whether Eaves left the residence on foot or with someone else. While family members told investigators it was not unusual for her to lose contact for a few days at a time, weeks passed without any communication, prompting her loved ones to report her missing.
In April 2020, William “Craig” Snow, of Philadelphia, was charged with Eaves’ murder, along with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance. Little information has been released publicly about the evidence in the case, and investigators have not disclosed how Eaves is believed to have been killed.
More recently, Neshoba County Sheriff’s deputies announced a second arrest connected to the case. Huland D. Boatner, 41, of Louisville, had a previous charge upgraded to murder in connection with Eaves’ disappearance. Sheriff Eric Clark said Boatner had initially been charged as an accessory after the fact and has since been denied bond on the murder charge.
Clark declined to say whether Eaves’ remains have been recovered, citing the ongoing investigation.
“We are working real hard on pursuing any leads we have in that case,” Clark told reporters at the time. “We are trying to keep what we can confidential as we continue to investigate.”
Both Snow and Boatner are charged with the murder of Eaves, who was a resident of Louisville at the time she went missing.
Eaves is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. She often went by her middle name, Desiree, which is how many law enforcement agencies identify her. Her ears are pierced.
She has several distinctive tattoos, including a Bengal tiger on her right thigh, a black rose on her right wrist, and the names “Cody,” “Cameron,” “Shyanne,” “Mark” and “Aaron” tattooed on her arms.
She was last seen wearing a dark blue denim jacket, a white tank top, dark blue jeans, cowboy boots, and a brown belt with a silver buckle. Authorities have released photos showing Eaves wearing the outfit believed to be the one she had on when she disappeared.
