JACKSON – Capitol police received a call at 6:36 a.m. Monday morning about a single car crash Cleveland Avenue and Hair Street.
Police responded and made contact with the driver of the vehicle 52-year-old Tonya Ellis. Officers said it appeared she was under the influence.
Ellis was transported to a local hospital and has been charged with DUI other and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
