JACKSON — Blood centers are urgently calling for donations from O- , O+, B- and B+ donors, saying current inventories are critically low and immediate donations are needed to meet patient needs.
Officials said donations of these blood types can help save lives “right now,” especially as demand remains high through the holiday season.
As a thank-you, all presenting donors will receive a limited-edition green long-sleeve “Banking on the Gift of Life” holiday shirt, provided by PriorityOne Bank.
Donors can give blood at the following Mississippi locations:
Flowood: 115 Tree Street, Flowood, MS
Cleveland: 609 North Davis Ave., Suite 101B, Cleveland, MS
Oxford: 2627 West Oxford Loop, Suite C, Oxford, MS
Walk-ins are welcome. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID, eat a good meal beforehand and stay hydrated.
Officials are urging eligible residents not to wait, noting that every donation can make a lifesaving difference.
