PEARL RIVER COUNTY — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday afternoon on Interstate 59 in Pearl River County.
Troopers responded around 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2025, to the crash, authorities said.
A 2014 Nissan Frontier driven by Freddie Parker, 68, of Picayune, was traveling south on I-59 with Charlene Parker, 66, also of Picayune, as a passenger when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, investigators said.
Charlene Parker was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Freddie Parker was also taken to a local hospital with injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
