HATTIESBURG — A woman wanted in the robbery of a Dollar General in Hebron was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Hattiesburg after Jones County investigators shared a tip on her possible location with the Hattiesburg Police Department.
Hattiesburg officers converged on the site and took Tishina Shuntel Smith into custody, according to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department.
The arrest marks the second in the case. JCSD Criminal Investigations Lt. Denny Graham said the department’s investigation into Thursday evening’s robbery has been “extensive” and has now resulted in both suspects being detained.
Smith will be charged with robbery by lead JCSD Investigator Jamey Beard. Her daughter, Kendriuna Rogers, was arrested Monday and remains in the Jones County Adult Detention Facility on the same charge.
Graham thanked the public and media for sharing information during the search for the suspects.
“This is a serious crime of robbery. We don’t take this criminal behavior lightly and will be seeking justice in this criminal case,” Graham said.
Smith will be booked into the Jones County Adult Detention Facility pending her initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court.
