S&P Global donates 500 laptop computers to JSU

Today, S&P Global will donate 500 laptops to Jackson State University as a part of its Laptop Donation Program. The program utilizes repurposed old laptops in good condition, diverting them from e-waste and equipping hundreds of students with the tools they need to elevate their academic experience.

A panel discussion and fireside chat will also take place with JSU alumni currently employed with the company and other senior representatives from S&P Global.

Who: JSU administrative leaders, Guyna Johnson (S&P Global Managing Director), Carter Smith (S&P Global Credit Ratings Analyst) and Ryan McDay (S&P Global Director, Culture & Engagement)

When: Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (panel discussion and fireside chat). Donations will be presented at 11:15 a.m.
