The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Butler Police Department, arrested five people after responding to a shots-fired incident on Tuscahoma Road on Oct. 21, 2025.
Deputies said the group was attempting to flee when officers arrived. Interviews and evidence indicated an altercation occurred at the scene, with two offenders directly involved and three others standing by and participating, according to investigators.
In total, eight charges were filed across the five suspects, including:
- 2 counts of Assault 3rd Degree
- 3 counts of Disorderly Conduct
- Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree
- Obscuring/Altering a Firearm Identification
- Possession of a Short-Barreled Shotgun
Authorities did not immediately release names or injury information. The investigation is ongoing.
