The Hattiesburg Police Department will wear purple on Thursday, Oct. 23, to observe Wear Purple Day and highlight Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Hattiesburg Police Department says the day honors victims, celebrates survivors, and raises community awareness about domestic violence. Residents are encouraged to join by wearing any shade of purple, sharing photos on social media, and tagging the department to help “paint the town purple.”
