Booneville Police say a suspect has been arrested in a shoplifting investigation reported by a business off North Second Street on September 26.
According to the Criminal Investigation Division, 22-year-old Breanna S. Rutherford, of Ripley, was identified and taken into custody the same day. She is charged with one felony count of shoplifting with an aggregated value exceeding 1,000 dollars.
Booneville Municipal Court Judge Greg Meyer set bond at 5,000 dollars. Police say the case will be presented to the Prentiss County Grand Jury.
Authorities remind the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
