The Jones County Sheriff’s Department has arrested registered sex offender 47-year-old Jason Sandy Blackledge, on a charge of Lustful Touching involving a juvenile female under the age of 10 years.
The Sheriff’s Department said the incident happened Sunday at a home where Blackledge was doing handyman work for a family.
He allegedly lured a young girl, under 10 years old, who lived at the home behind a shed on the property while her parents were working on repairs to the family home and a lawn mower.
Her brothers were sent by Blackledge to pick up trash on a country road which kept the sister and Blackledge from their view.
The young girl, upon becoming a victim of Blackledge’s alleged abuse, ran from behind the shed screaming to her parents. The parents called 911 and Jason Blackledge was arrested.
Jason Blackledge is currently incarcerated at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility with a $750,000 bond imposed in Jones County Justice Court.
Blackledge was convicted in Jones County Circuit Court on August 30, 1999, on a charge of Touching A Child Or Mentally Defective, Incapacitated, Or Physically Helpless Person For Lustful Purposes.
