Clinton – The City of Clinton invites residents to join the annual Battle of Badges Blood Drive on Thursday, September 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Brighton Park.
The Battle of Badges is a friendly competition between the Clinton Police Department and the Clinton Fire Department to see which team can recruit the most blood donors. Every presenting donor not only helps save lives but also casts a vote for their favorite first responder team.
As a thank-you, all donors will receive a $15 Visa gift card and an exclusive “9/11 Never Forget” T-shirt.
“Police officers and firefighters dedicate their lives to protecting our community,” said Mississippi Blood Services Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “This drive gives everyone in Clinton the chance to team up with them to save lives while showing hometown pride.”
Blood donations are urgently needed to support patients in Mississippi hospitals. Just one donation can save up to three lives. Donors are encouraged to eat well, drink plenty of fluids, and bring a photo ID before giving.
