Two people were arrested on felony drug trafficking charges following an undercover operation by the Harrison County Narcotics Task Force Tuesday.
Yarnesia Ro’Shay McClary, 25, and Elton Bernard McKinzy Jr., 28, both of Tallahassee, Florida, were arrested on a felony charge of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.
The operation took place in the 2900 block of 25th Avenue in Gulfport. Harrison County Narcotics Task Force Investigators conducted an undercover operation and identified two vehicles, driven by McClary and McKinzy, suspected of trafficking bulk marijuana. Investigators located them at a gas station in the 2900 block of 25th Avenue in Gulfport.
A probable cause search of the vehicles yielded approximately 25 pounds of bulk marijuana concealed in the cargo area of an SUV and approximately $30,000 in currency.
McClary and McKinzy Jr. were each arrested on charges of Trafficking a Controlled Substance and transported to the Harrison County Jail held on $250,000 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert J. Fountain.
