A Brookhaven man is in the Lincoln County Jail after being charged with first-degree murder.
Authorities said Jerrell Andrew Thomas, 38, who has lived in Brookhaven but has a Jackson address, was arrested in the Capitol city Tuesday in the fatal shooting last week of Victor Sanders, 45.
Sanders was found unresponsive, shot in the throat and chest, at an address on Mallalieu Drive. Coroner Blake Wallace ruled the death a homicide.
