The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that claimed the lives of two individuals early Sunday morning.
At approximately 2:34 a.m. on June 29, dispatchers received reports of gunfire at a party on Kincaid Road. When deputies arrived, they learned that two victims had already been transported to OCH Regional Medical Center with gunshot wounds. Both later succumbed to their injuries.
Investigators have identified Travis Chandler, 34, and Devon Chandler, 27, both of Starkville, as the primary suspects in the shooting. Warrants for murder have been issued for both men.
The public is urged not to approach the suspects if seen. Instead, authorities ask that you call 911 immediately and be a good witness.
Sheriff Phelps issued a stern warning: “Anyone found harboring or assisting these fugitives will be prosecuted.”
