The Meridian Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Wednesday night.
Officers responded to a call at approximately 11:42 p.m. on June 25 in the 2500 block of 23rd Street. When they arrived, they found Tavis Brown inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds.
Brown was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.
The investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made, and authorities have not released information regarding a suspect or motive.
