Four rescued sea turtles are set for release in Biloxi this Wednesday. The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS) has announced the release of four rehabilitated sea turtles scheduled for this Wednesday, May 14, at 2:30 p.m.
The public is invited to watch the release in person at the beach area across from Edgewater Mall in Biloxi. These turtles have spent months receiving expert care and treatment and are now healthy and ready to return to their natural habitat in the Gulf of Mexico.
For those who can’t attend in person, IMMS will also live-stream the release on Facebook.
Sea turtle releases are a key part of the Institute’s ongoing mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and return marine animals to the wild while raising public awareness about ocean conservation.
Bring your beach towels and cameras and come witness this wonderful event!
