The Jackson Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Wednesday, May 7, in the 300 block of Holden Street.
Officers responded to the scene and discovered that 19-year-old Zephaniah Thompson had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have notified the victim’s next of kin.
Detectives are actively working the case, and no additional information regarding suspects or motives has been released at this time.
