A suspect is behind bars in a Tupelo homicide.
According to a release on Tupelo Police Department’s Facebook page, on Tuesday authorities got a call to The Villages subdivision off Coley Road for a welfare check.
When they got to the scene, officers found an adult dead at the scene. A suspect was also there and has been taken into custody.
Tupelo PD says this is an active investigation. It is unclear why no names have been given, but authorities say further details will be released as they become available.
