Two 18-wheelers were involved in a crash on I-55 northbound and east frontage road between Wynndale and Siwell. This area is completely closed.
Byram Police Chief David Errington said there are injuries. Aircare is on the scene.
MHP said that 50-year-old Karen Madison, from Jackson, was driving a 1999 Peterbilt when the vehicle collided with a 2023 International MV60, driven by 50-year-old Reggie McNeal of Brandon.
Reggie McNeal died from his injuries and Karen Madison was taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
