Capitol Police are still seeking a suspect as they are actively investigating a deadly shooting that happened on March 22 around 7:16 p.m. in the area of Pearl and Lamar St.
UPDATE: Authorities investigate fatal shooting during parade festivities
Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire and immediately began canvassing the area for evidence. Authorities confirmed that a total of eight individuals had been shot and one victim died from their injuries.
Capitol Police are asking the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation. Individuals with photos or videos from the area during the time of the shooting are asked to contact Capitol Police at 601-359-3125.
