A Florence woman was arrested by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department on embezzlement charges today.
Around 6:00 am Wednesday morning, investigators and deputies with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Bishop Lane south of Florence.
The sheriff’s office has been conducting an extensive investigation since 2024 into allegations of fraud and employee corruption at a small business in Rankin County. The evidence and information obtained through the course of that investigation identified multiple instances of fraud perpetrated by Sherri Sims Kimbrow.
Kimbrow was arrested during the execution of the search warrant and transported to the Rankin County Detention Center where she is currently being housed on $5,000 bond.
