A Saltillo woman has been arrested and charged with felony shoplifting after attempting to leave a Belk store with multiple unpaid items.
On March 18, 2025, officers were dispatched to 1001 Barnes Crossing Road in response to a shoplifting incident. Store personnel reported that they had detained an individual who attempted to exit the store without paying for several items. The suspect was held at the scene until police arrived and took them into custody.
Following further investigation, authorities identified the suspect as 31-year-old Candice J. Clark of Saltillo. On March 19, 2025, she was formally charged with felony shoplifting.
That same day, Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen set Clark’s bond at $5,000. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury for further proceedings.
