The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services (CPS) are seeking the public’s help in locating two missing juveniles who were taken from state custody.
The missing children are identified as:
- Stella Finney, a 4-year-old white female
- Hartlyn “Cash” Thompson, a 1-year-old white male
Authorities believe the children are with their mother, Shawna Thompson, who fled with them when CPS arrived at a residence to take custody. Thompson is possibly accompanied by her boyfriend, Ricky Waits.
Law enforcement is urging anyone who sees the children, their mother, or Ricky Waits to contact Pontotoc County CPS at 662-489-3970 or 601-594-3821. The search remains ongoing.
