The Gautier Police Department is searching for Jadariuze McDaniel and Tevaughntae Owens, who are wanted for fraud after allegedly scamming a seller out of a Can-Am Defender HD10 (side-by-side) with a fake $22,000 cashier’s check.
The incident occurred on March 6, 2025, when the suspects presented a fraudulent cashier’s check from Chase Bank as payment for the vehicle. When the seller attempted to cash the check, the bank confirmed it was fake.
Investigators have linked McDaniel and Owens to similar crimes in Louisiana, where they were recently arrested. Authorities warn that the suspects are known to use multiple addresses and aliases to carry out their schemes.
The Gautier Police Department urges anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously by downloading the P3 Tips app or calling Crime Stoppers. Cash rewards are available for information leading to a felony arrest, but only if submitted through Crime Stoppers.
As the investigation continues, authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
