The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating a deadly crash that happened today, on Highway 24 near S. Crosby Street in Wilkinson County.
Authorities say the crash happened at approximately 8:32 a.m., when a 2009 Toyota Tacoma, driven by 74-year-old Russell D. Vines of Woodville, MS, was traveling east on Highway 24. The vehicle collided with a 2005 Ford F-350, driven by 60-year-old Andrew Williams of Centreville, MS, who was traveling west on the same roadway.
Russell Vines sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol has confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the cause of the crash.
