The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office shared a heartwarming moment that happened in Leland, Mississippi, last night.
Two deputies were dispatched to an elderly man who had run out of gas on the side of Highway 49 West.
Deputy Felton and Deputy Warrington arrived around 6:46 p.m. to help the 76-year-old driver. When they arrived, they made sure the driver was safe.
Deputy Felton drove to the gas station and bought gas for the man with his own money. He returned to refuel the vehicle.
Meanwhile, Deputy Warrnington stayed with the man to make sure he was safe.
Because of these officers, the man was able to return home safely.
Thank you to the deputies who went above and beyond what they had to do and chose to show kindness.
