When your life has gone awry, or when you’re tired or scared or cold, there’s something to be said for the comfort of a good blanket.
Knowing that, in Clay County this week, a sewing group called the Point City Stitchers, along with Sew, Sister, Sew LLC stepped up to serve with a heartfelt and handmade donation to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Based in West Point, the Point City Stitchers is a group of ladies who work together on charity and giving projects.
According to a post from the CCSO, “the ladies of Sew, Sister, Sew LLC created and donated over 20 blankets to the Sheriff’s Office, enabling deputies to distribute them to those in need. Having outstanding community partners like this is what makes Clay County great!”
According to their Facebook, Sew, Sister, Sew LLC sells Viking sewing, quilting, and embroidery machines. They also have sewing supplies, patterns, fabric, and everything else you’d need for a sewing or quilting project. They also offer repair and service for sewing machines. They are located at 620 Commerce Street in West Point.
