A 53-year-old Meridian man has been arrested on multiple drug trafficking charges after authorities executed a search warrant at a home on 28th Avenue.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., patrol deputies with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department (LCSD), along with officers from the East Mississippi Drug Task Force and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, searched the home and discovered a significant quantity of illegal drugs.

Investigators seized:
- Over 10 ounces of methamphetamine
- Approximately ½ pound of marijuana
- More than ¼ ounce of cocaine
- Approximately 58 dosage units of ecstasy
Lester Delance Sillimon was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Methamphetamine, Trafficking of Ecstasy, and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.
All charges were enhanced due to the location of the offenses occurring within 1,500 feet of a church. Sillimon’s total bond was set at $300,000—$100,000 for each charge.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said that the case will be presented to the next available grand jury for further legal proceedings.
