Onyx is a fun-loving, energetic young lab mix who is ready to find her forever home or a foster. This sweet 1.5- to 2-year-old, 50-pound girl is full of life and eager for adventure.
She is waiting for someone to adopt her from Cheshire Abbey!

She recently completed professional training and knows commands like “sit” and “come.” She even has a talent for catching treats in the air. Like most young labs, she’s still working on some manners, such as jumping up and getting distracted, but with a little patience and an active home, she will thrive.
Onyx doesn’t particularly enjoy the chaos of boarding and would rather be out exploring, sniffing, and learning.
She was found alongside another lab, Sadie, and got along well with her in the car.
At the clinic, she showed little interest in a cat right behind her, which is a promising sign, though not a guarantee that she is cat-friendly.
She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently completed heartworm treatment. Onyx would do best with an active person or family who can provide her with love, structure, and fun adventures.
If you think Onyx could be the perfect fit for you, reach out to Cheshire Abbey in Jackson, MS today. Let’s help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves.
If you can’t adopt, but still want to help then please consider fostering another dog the rescue has! That costs $0 and makes such a difference! You can also donate to Cheshire Abbey monetarily to help them pay vet bills and boarding bills on the dogs in their care. Every little bit makes a difference.
