The Animal Rescue Fund of Mississippi (ARF), a no-kill animal shelter in Jackson that is dedicated to rescuing abandoned pets. They were given a wonderful gift from a local business owner.

Steve Grantham, the owner of an Outback Steakhouse franchise received a major boost thanks to the generosity of a local business owner.

Grantham heard about the shelter’s needs and how they desperately needed dog food. He decided to donate 2,000 pounds of dog food and $5,000 in cash to help ARF.

“We at ARF are always blown away by the amazing community support we receive, and today was no exception,” the shelter shared in a statement.

The donation will go a long way in making sure that the dogs at ARF receive proper nutrition and care while they wait for their forever homes. As a no-kill shelter, ARF relies on community donations and volunteers to provide food, medical care, and a safe environment for the animals they rescue.

Grantham’s kindness is a good reminder that everyone can make an impact and a difference.

ARF is asking the community to go eat at Outback this week to thank them for all that they do for the community and the animals that many forget about!

The shelter is always in need of supplies and donations. Those interested in supporting ARF can visit their website or stop by to volunteer.

Come visit the dogs they have up for adoption and bring one home! You can fill out an application here and find more ways to get involved on their website!
