The Leake County Regional Correctional Facility has received a generous donation that will help improve inmate wellness and outdoor fitness efforts.
Sheriff Randy W. Atkinson and the Leake County Sheriff’s Office extended their gratitude to Lauro Castelan and Brian Olmedo of Star Buildings & Carports for donating a 30’ x 20’ carport to the correctional facility. The newly donated structure will provide much-needed shade and protection for workout equipment used by inmates.
“We appreciate this generous donation more than we can express,” said Sheriff Atkinson. “This carport will provide an important space for our inmates to maintain their physical health, and we are grateful to Star Buildings & Carports for their support of our facility.”
The Leake County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek ways to improve the well-being of those in its custody, and this donation is a step toward that goal.
Thanks to local businesses like Star Buildings & Carports who donate and support the sheriff’s department and the correctional facility!
