The aroma of fried turkey, simmering green beans, marshmallow-topped sweet potatoes, and fresh pies signals the start of The Salvation Army’s annual Thanksgiving Day Feeding!
The Salvation Army is asking for volunteers to help get Thanksgiving meals to elderly and shut-in citizens this year.
They are asking volunteers to join them at 6570 East Beasley Rd. on Thanksgiving Day, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, to prep, serve, and deliver meals to our most vulnerable neighbors. Give back for a few hours before enjoying the rest of your day with family, food, and football.
The Salvation army is asking you to be part of something special — let’s spread holiday cheer and show our seniors they are not forgotten.
To volunteer, call 601-982-4881 or visit salvationarmyjackson.org.
