Oklahoma man charged with felony trafficking after 1,100 lbs of marijuana seized

Items confiscated in a traffic stop by MHP's CTED division in November.

Mississippi Highway Patrol’s Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division made a monumental find earlier this month as they worked the roads in North Mississippi.

On November 14, 2024, CTED’s Criminal Interdiction Officers stopped a truck towing an enclosed trailer on Highway 72 in Tishomingo County.

A roadside investigation led to probable cause for a search, revealing illegal narcotics, a handgun, and body armor.

The driver, an Oklahoma resident, was arrested and charged with possession of 7 grams of cocaine and felony trafficking of 1,100 pounds of marijuana.
