Jackson police have made an arrest in a September 4 homicide, according to Detective Tommie Brown.
The fatal shooting occurred in the 100 block of Cedars of Lebanon. The victim, Carderius Hawthorne, was pronounced dead on scene.
Johnathan Fortenberry, 26, turned himself in to JPD on Monday for the alleged murder of Hawthorne, homicide victim #78 for 2024.
