According to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, a new state record for the longest alligator harvested was broken today by several Mississippi hunters.
The hunters, (pictured left to right) are Tanner White, from Flora, Don Woods, from Oxford, Will Thomas, from Madison, and Joey Clark, from Jackson.
The Facebook post from MDWFP states that the alligator is a whopping 14 feet and 3 inches long. He has a belly girth of 66 inches and a tail girth of 46.5 inches.
The alligator weighs in at 802.5 pounds. The gator was caught in the West Central Alligator Hunting Zone in Mississippi.
