A Warren County man was found shot to death in his front yard around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Now his wife and son have been charged with his murder.
According to authorities, multiple 911 calls were received regarding gunshots on Castle Road in the Camelot Subdivision.
Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies soon arrived to find 57-year-old Jeffery Young, Sr. who had been shot at least once. Warren County Deputy Coroner Kelda Bailess pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
Jeffrey Young, Jr., the victim’s 23-year-old son, and the victim’s wife, Tracie Young, 55, were both arrested shortly after 9:30 pm the same night.
Jeffery Young, Jr. has been charged with first degree murder and Tracie Young has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Sheriff Martin Pace says the shooting resulted after a “brief argument” between the father and son, though details of the fight are not known at this time.
