Moss Point Police Department arrested a man on a warrant in the May 29 armed robbery of the Raceway gas station located at 7315 Highway 63.
Lucedale Police Department conducted a traffic stop on June 5 resulting in the arrest of Austin Blake Butler on an unrelated felony George County warrant. Moss Point Police had previously received a Crime Stoppers tip naming Butler as the possible suspect in the armed robbery of the Raceway.
During the traffic stop, evidence was collected in connection to the Raceway armed robbery. Butler is currently detained in the George County Regional Corrections Facility.
Upon his release from George County, Butler will be transported to Jackson County to face the Armed Robbery charge.
