The Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum hosted their annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday.

The hunt offers a unique experience for guests along a bunny trial that covers the entire Ag Museum grounds.

“One unique thing about our Easter event at the Ag Mueusem is that we have created this space to more along the lines of a scavenger hunt,” said Ag Museum Marketing Specialist, Justin Nipper. “We have made spaces all around here where people can go, do activities and collect eggs.”

Upon entry at the Ethnic building, each child was given a card that is stamped to collect eggs at each stop along the trail. This first stop included concessions, games and photos with Eggy.

At the Heritage Center, there was egg dying, story time and more.

Near the Children’s Barnyard, there was face painting, autographs from Miss Hospitality Hannah Grace Crain and photos with the Easter bunny.

The Boone family love the Ag Museum and travel from Vicksburg to all their annual events. Sisters 15 year old Ella Kate and nine year old Amelia Jo shared what they enjoyed most from the event.

“My favorite part is going to see the wood carvers, bunnies and animals,” said Amelia Jo. “My favorite part is definitely the barnyard to Gun-smoke the Horse and the woodcarvers,” said Ella Kate.

As with every event at the museum, There were also rides, shops and exhibits across the grounds.
