According to the Jackson Police Department, officers are investigating a shooting that happened around 11:00 a.m. on Hair Street.

When they arrived on scene, officers found 22-year-old Quavious Banks who had been shot once in the back and died from his injuries.

Investigators are still gathering information and evidence from the scene.

No suspect information is available at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
