On July 28th, the Oxford Police Department responded to a business in the 2100 block of Jackson Avenue for a report of a bad check.
After investigation, 26-year-old Christopher Bell, of Oxford, was arrested and has been charged with three counts of False Pretense with more charges possible.
Bell was taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court judge for his initial bond hearing and issued a $60,000 bond.
