The Jones County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man from Seminary after he drove a vehicle into the Dollar General store on Hwy 590.

The wreck happened late Thursday afternoon.

32-year-old Cullen Carter was arrested by JCSD Corporal La-Dean Byrd and Deputy Jarone’ Walker at the scene and was charged with DUI-Other.

Damage to the Dollar General building was significant; although, no injuries were reported to patrons or employees.

EMServ Ambulance Service and Southwest Jones Fire & Rescue responded to the incident as well as JCSD units.

Carter is behind held at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility pending his initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court.

Carter’s booking photo is not available as officers said he has been uncooperative with corrections officers.
