On Saturday, July 27, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 607.

A 2018 Volkswagen Atlas, driven by 38-year-old Sarah Saunders of Pearl River, LA, was traveling southbound when it collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.

The Silverado, driven by 42-year-old Benjamin Harrison of Mandeville, Louisiana, was traveling northbound in the southbound lane. Harrison was killed in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
