The Langford Volunteer Fire Department is mourning the loss of a well-loved member named Ed Steed.

“Our hearts are heavy today as we mourn the loss of Ed Steed.”

Ed was a member of Langford Volunteer Fire Department and Reservoir Fire Department for several years.

He served the department’s needs at the Rankin County Emergency Operations and was an all-around beloved member of the community.

The fire department said that his humor, humility and dedication to service will be missed.

“Rest easy brother, we’ll take it from here.”
