Jones County man arrested on child abuse charges

Child Abuse Suspect In Custody

Tyrice Austin, age 22, has been booked into the Jones County Adult Detention Facility on a Child Abuse charge after surrendering himself at the Jones County Sheriff Department this morning.

Austin is alleged to have assaulted a two year old girl in the Hoy Community and was the subject of a JCSD search for his whereabouts. He will face a Jones County Justice Court judge for his initial appearance this week.
