Jackson Police are asking for help in the homicide investigation of victim, Herbert McCombs, 73, who was found fatally wounded in the 1300 block of Raymond Road in late May.

Police said a neighbor found Herbert Floyd McCombs dead under his garage. McComb suffered from multiple lacerations and stab wounds. Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart said a preliminary examination showed that McCombs had been beaten and assaulted.

On June 14, Jackson police confirmed the case was being investigated as a homicide.
