Jackson Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night at 620 Amite Street.

A release from JPD says Clarence Chatman, 41, was found dead by a relative, who said when he arrived home he noticed Chatman lying on his back with blood coming from his head.

Authorities say it appears that Chatman died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
