UPDATE: Hinds County deputies seek inmate missing from Raymond Detention Center Monday

UPDATE: Michael Lewis has been arrested.

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department is requesting assistance from the public in the location and apprehension of Joseph Wesley Spring.

Spring escaped from the Raymond Detention Center on the morning of May 29th. He is approximately 32 years of age, described as a W/M, 5’08, blonde hair and blue eyes. Spring has multiple tattoos on his body and neck. He was incarcerated for Probation Violation, Possession of Stolen Weapon and Burglary.

Anyone with information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for up to a $2,500 reward.

UPDATE:
The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two inmates who were noticed missing during Monday morning’s headcount.

According to HCSO’s Facebook page, Michael Lewis, 31, and Joseph Spring, 31, were both found to be missing from the Raymond Detention Center during the official headcount. A breach in the facility and damage was later located along with fence damage.
