Friends of 34-year-old Courtney Johnson reported her missing after they hadn’t heard from her at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. She had told a friend she was headed to the Golden Nugget casino to meet friends, but she never checked into the hotel.
Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam told WLOX’s Lindsay Knowles that the auto locator on Johnson’s car shows she was last at the 2 mile marker on I-10. Crews were searching the waters as of Friday afternoon.
Johnson’s car, a gray 2016 Mazda 6 with Louisiana license plate #ZQF474, has not been found and her cell phone is no longer working. Family members reported that she also suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, which can cause her to become fatigued.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Courtney Johnson is asked to contact St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-276-1348 or 989-898-2338.
