On Friday, February 17, the Greenville Police Department received a call of service in the 2700 block of Oxford Place in reference to fraud.
When officers arrived, they made contact with the victim. She told police that a man named Shaun Moose stole her debit card information, and made several transactions and withdrawals without her consent.
The victim stated that she has known Moose for some time, and was able to gain access to her account by taking her debit card and making over 26 illegal transactions from her account.
The information was presented to a Municipal Court Judge who signed a warrant on each fraudulent transaction.
Moose was taken into custody and charged with 27 counts of Illegal Use of a Debit/Credit Card. He is currently being held in the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.
Moose is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
